It looks a little scratched up, but thats all I can see.
What is that taken with a camera phone? Like 1/2 a megapixel... Like my nextel.
Get a closeup of the edge and another of the scratch and try to use a flashlight to shine on it..
Im really curious to see if ford is going the way of pontiac and making body panels that can slice your fingers off and rust inside after a year.

Cell phone pic, Yep !! I know it isn't very good, and that the owner of the post may be talking about a different sharp edge. But, my main point was that all the other edges have enough paint on them, to cover the sharper metal. Sort of going back to the owner of the posts comment about missing paint. If no one else posts a better pic, I will try to borrow a "real" camera for a better shot.

This is my first so I'm going to try to upload some pics... if it doesn't work, please forgive. Being a black car, things are kinda difficult to see. Plus it's raining and don't want to destroy my camera by taking too much time to compose. Hopefully this will work

So, I was loading groceries in the trunk today and... my car bit me! I got a nice gash below my thumb from scraping it on the inside (top frame) of the trunk. Yeah, the edges ARE sharp. [:@]

I forgave "Lucky Blue" though. Forgot all about it when a neighbor's gardener came running over asking "Is this the new Mustang?" and I spent a half hour showing it off!

the photos of the black trunk lid are way better than mine, plus uploading files from a Mac doesn't seem to work [:@]

in any event, it's the edges on the punch outs that i think are crazy sharp, and the lack of paint in the same areas that are disappointing [&o]

I don't care what the truck other side looks like nobody sees it anyway. 'What does bother me is the scratches and paint chips on the body.

Yea.. I dont have my stang yet.. but the crappy work is no excuse. I will be sure to take a look at it when I get my car. I hope they put a good clear coat on the thing. If not does anyone know of any good products to use on a new car to give is some protection? Paint chips and scratches sux. If ford is doing crappy work with painting we might need a little extra help...

My paint is very good, with the exception of the two edges I try to show in my cell phone pic. I do still think that paint on these edges would dry/harden and cover the sharp edge. This seems to be the case on all the other edges of the knockouts that are painted well under the trunck lid.

Since I would imagine this whole process to be automated, not someone who got lazy at work, I don't see why it is even there ??
