2006 GT BATTERY PROBLEMS
Hi guys I have problems with drain on my battery or a defective battery. I looked for the post on this topic or a TSB as I made shure that I turn off shaker 1000 before shutting car off. Also last winter the battery had to be put on a charger it wouldn't last one week without a charge when the car was being stored. Any help would be apppreciated thanks!?[8D]

RE: 2006 GT BATTERY PROBLEMS
You could check for an electrical drain with a multi meter, if you`re showing a "leak" with everthing off, pull fuses until the leak "stops". This at least narrows down the circuit to troubleshoot. And as others suggest, your battery could be bad.

RE: 2006 GT BATTERY PROBLEMS
I had a problem with mine after I came back from deployment (YES I DISCONNECTED IT). When I restarted my vehicle, I had the check engine light, I went to the Ford Dealership, they plugged it in, and said they never saw that code...then they reset the computer, and I was on my way, a week later, the batter was deader than a ****! They replaced it, and I haven't had any problems since...

I have an 05 GT with 17K on the clock. Battery gave up last week. Ford replaced it.

My trouble didn't even turn out to be the battery anyway... the throttle was shorted.

RE: 2006 GT BATTERY PROBLEMS
Well, lots of us have discussed this one before. My battery drained twice. First time, I jumped started it, then drove around, but the next day it went dead again. Second time, I got a battery charger and charged the baterry to 100%. Since then I have not had any problems and I have left the stang unattended for up to 14 days many times. Just last week, it started right up after me being gone for 9 days. Aside from recharging the battery, the only thing I have done differently is ensuring the radio is off at least 20 minutes prior me shutting down the stang. I read somewhere that the radio will continue to draw some current for up to 40 mins after being shut off for whatever reason. I dunno if its true or not, but again, no issues since I have done what I said above. BTW, never took it to the dealer to have it checked out....
