Default Oil spraying a convertable

Hi guys - I want to get my 07' GT rust proofed this year (although it won't see rain/snow), and I usually get my cars done by Krown rust proofing which is an oil spray solution done in a garage bay.

With your convertables, what do you usually do for rust proofing? I don't want the spray getting on the top so I'd like some ideas. I may end up doing it myself and just spraying the car very carefully at home.

Cheers

Why would they spray the convertible? Is it overspray that you're worried about? I'd think any professional shop that does rustproofing wouldn't get a drop anyplace it's not supposed to...

And if it won't see rain or snow...? [sm=wtf.gif]

The rust proofing place would take care not to spray your top I'm sure, they'll have done many verts in their time. Speak to them, voice your concerns, get them to guarantee the roof won't get splatter on it.

I had my truck and the wife's Golf done recently and I didn't find over spray anywhere I didn't expect it.

Hmmmm....well...I rust proofed mine when new, they covered the entire stang, placed it on a lift and sprayed the under carriage....no problem whatsoever....

Good points guys, I'll see if they can put a plastic cover on the car. I have seen them do a little bit of overspray before, so I just want to be careful. I know it won't see rain/snow, but I still want it protected.

It won't see rain or snow...is that because its not your daily driver? Mine was not while I lived in VA and I never drove it while it rained, but not so here in Washington...it's always raining....[:@]
