Default 89 vs 91.

When it comes to a tune, how much of a difference is there? I'm getting a tune next week and havn't seen 91 in the area at gas stations. (Pasadena, Houston TX). All I've seen is 87, 89, 93. Just wondering on how much diffence exists between the two. Thanks.

You can use 93 on a 91 tune. You can also get a 93 tune.

Whether it is worth it to put 93 over 89 in your gas tank is up to you. The performance gains are minimal at best. But think of it this way.... You spent a lot of money on this car.... You should have no problem spending an extra 10 cents a gallon to put the good stuff in.

I installed my CAI and loaded the 89 tune because that's what's in my tank. The change from stock 87 to the 89 tune was awesome. I filled up with 93 and after I run that down and refill again with 93 I'll load the 93 tune and let you know. But since the Stang isn't my DD, that could take awhile.
