reminds me of the green charger, it gets old after the first 5 times. I wouldnt pay more than 50k for an easily atainable 550 hp anda 7k dollarbody kit.

I seriously doubt the person considering a S281-E is gonna worry about it's price tag. I'm sure you can make that $91K Extreme even more expensive by adding the scenic roof(which the car posted lacks) and add the more expensive Michelin tires and the Watts rear linkage(to replace the panhard set-up).
Trust me, if you're making 7 figures a year and love Mustangs and want something out of the ordinary an Extreme makes perfect sense, it's not for everybody, and that's the point.

 

I don't care if you have all the money in the world, doesn'y mean you have to be stupid.
People making 7 figure didn't get there by paying too much for their stuff.

Anything over 40 Grands for a Stang is overpriced (except the GT500), because you can buy your GT and put a body kit with blower, then you're there.

 

So you really think you could build the above car with 30K+10K for mods. Guess you know where to score some hot parts.

 

Right now, you can stillget an 07 GT for about 25K/26K and I'm sure you can also get the 08 for less than 30K if you negotiate.
Spend about 8K on the body with your own taste, not someone else, and about 5K on a blower. You do the maths.

 

Like I said before 91K is up there I'm not surprised thats what it came down to. I guesstimate total cost to build the car (starting with a body in white)all parts and all labor maybe 30-40K

 

Don't forget the suspension at least 1K plus labor
6-speed tranny(assuming T-56) 4K conversion plus labor to install
Built alum 302 stroker 4k Plus laborto build and install
Saleen blower with extreme tuningupgrade 6K
4.10 with "maxgrip"LSD $800 with install
interior upgrades, unk price but prolly not cheap.
Im sure I'm forgetting a ton of other stuff that goes into this car.

Also this is a#ed car with a Saleen VIN(not ford) that will always hold a bit more value than a regular stang. You can save alot of money if you have the time and skill to build it yourself but still no warranty when something goes bust.
