RE: Real N00B Question About N2O
opening the bottle takes all of 15 seconds best--if youre going out on a friday night per sey, and think its a possibility you might spray, leave the heater on--it takes a little while to get the entire contents of the bottle warm espescially since it is getting ready to get cold. Cold days, it takes a while for the heater to get the gas up to 1000psi. warm to hot days, you really may not even need it, but it is always good to have one. It will make your system much more reliable.

what happens if it isnt properly heated before its used?

Opening the bottle takes 4 seconds and closing the bottle takes 4 seconds, just timed it lol.
As far as a bottle blowing up from getting too hot in your trunk, I dont believe it. I live in Southwest Florida and have left my car outside with a full bottle for 12 hours. At the hottest point in the day i opened the bottle to see where the pressure was and it was at 1200 psi, which is not bad at all. 1150 psi is completely ideal for a track run or somthing.
I have heard of idiots wiring a heater up to stay on while the car is off (DUMB!) and leaving the heater on overnight and it blowing up. But you seriously have to have an IQ of 6 to do somthing like that.

RE: Real N00B Question About N2O
Well, you figure a 10lb bottle of a compressed liquid exploding at 1500 psi+ i expect it would devistate the whole *** end of the car. The bottles are equipped with a pressure burst disc, so at extreme pressures, it should break and simple discharge the nitrous into you trunk(or it you use a blow-down tube, out of the vehicle). I leave my bottle installed all the time--and Ive never had any problems. Our average summer days are mid 90s
