Default Question about tuners

I know that there are many different tuners out there, but my question is basic. As an example I buy an "SCT X Caliber II" tuner. Will that tuner only work on my 07 Mustang? If not what else will itwork on? What I am looking foris atuner that will work on my 07 Mustang GT as well as my 02 F150 truck (5.4). The reason that I am asking is that I put somebigger tires on my F150, only 7.5% bigger, but to calibrate the speedo it needs a tuner. Or a shop thatwill charge memore than half the cost of a good tuner. fd

to add to this the Xcal2 will lock after 3 vehicles (or at least thats what I've read

so you could correct your tires but you'd have to de-correct them to use the Xcal2 on the stang and then if you wanted to re-correct them you wouldn't be able to use it on your stang again

there are PRO level tuners (that you can create a tune with) that can do more than 1 vehicle but
1. cost alot more
2. pay a license (depending on tuner) per vehicle
the one I'm thinking of is this sniper-tuner that I don't think I can link to here

I'd be tempted to go to a source where the answers are likely to be definitive. For instance:
http://www.sctflash.com/forum/index.php

Most companies have FAQ locations.

"February 19, 2005, 02:23:01 am" on the HRP forum
with the underscore
I didn't add the underscore to copy you it was already part of the nic I was using
If a forum Allows underscores I put one in my nic and if its a Car forum I use Ford_Dude if the forum isn't car related I have a few that I use mainly 1_1_1
