Default Jack points?

Not to ask too much but, yeah I checked the owners manual and there is no diagram and when I scoured the internet the one diagram I found looked like a New Edge and not an 05.

In short order I have a front and rear bumper to put on allong with a set of 4 wheels and FRPP exhaust. I don't trust the factory jack and want to use a shop jack and jack stands. I've had problems with poor fit in factory jacks before. I baby my car to a huge extent and do not want anything bent out of shape or scratched.

So my question is for my job... how do I properly jack up each indevidual corner with a shop jack, and how do I do the same with also adding jack stands for a full front and full rear jack?

Pictures would do best. I'm not intent on having a car fall on me, I know people who have had it happen, and the results can ruin a good build.

I'll have to double check, but I could've sworn there was info on jack points in the owner's manual...I'll double check in mine and see. Maybe they omitted it from the '05 manual for some reason...

Jack each rear tire under the connection for the lca's and put your jack stands at the jack points in front of the rear tires. Once the rear is up, jack the front from the center where the lca's come together. Use jack stands on jack points behind front tires. I have to drive my front tires up onto 2x10's so the jack will fit under the center.

What happens for the front tires? The jack points are definitly ommited in my manual. I'll give that battle to Chevy.

Page 128 in the owners manual gives you a diagram and a list of where the jack points are. If you look under the car you will see them.

Mine is on page 125, which would make sense if yours was a revised version.

ie yours has a little more info and clarification in it. If yours just shows a pic of the car being lifted by it's side skirt then it's the same pic I have. My 128 has info about DOT TIN numbers. It is interesting stuff to read though.

Thanks dude.

Hey, why does the manual and this diagram indicate we can't lift our cars by the rear diff?

"never use the rear differential asa jacking point"
