Default scoops/louvers removal ?

hey guys-
so i've given some thought lately to removing my side scoops and side window louvers in favor of just a set of silverhorse racing louvers (to give more of a streamlined look). any advice about getting those things off? is a hairdryer necessary? does waxed dental floss help to get behind the pieces? is a good supply of elbow grease all that's really necessary?

thanks in advance for any guidance!

p.s. if i remove the parts, i'll most likely sell them. they've only been on my car for a few months, they're painted vista blue, and they're in great condition atm. i'll repost in the appropriate section if i decide to try to unload them.

Hi,

I just removed my window scoops a couple of weeks ago. I used fishing line to "saw" my way through the tape holding them on. Use plenty of soapy water to keeps thing lubricated.I used 6 pound line because that was what I had laying around.A little heavier would have worked better, the lighter line was break prone.

I used 3M Adhesive & Wax Remover to get the remaining tape off the car.

Mike

p.s. my scoops are for sale, they are 3dCarbon pieces.

Soapy water and steady slow elbow grease.
