Data Logger anybody?

RE: Data Logger anybody?
ORIGINAL: marcuskeeler
Anyway, my original question was an attemptto glean some tips on installation, locality, cabling etc.Don't know whether to stick it in the trunk, under the seat or wherever.... I got one of these which I'm testing in my truck right now

It's going to be perfect for my needs, just a case of installing it nicely.

Stay away from under the dash and the
under seat. In the trunk under the rear
window shelf would be a nice place for it.
Under the dash is prone to the notorious
stang leak and under the seat is prone to
the spilled big gulp, girl intwilight zone.
saw the link and tried to do an edit
internet went down back now
clicking the link now....

There's already a link a couple of posts above yours Dude.
yea, I can see trouble with it under the seat, you're right.I do need to be able to get to it though, to remove and refit the CF card which the data is stored on and also to connect the laptop to it for administrating the setup. I won't be using the funky remote display though so maybe the trunk is the best place.

Took a look at the link and put it in the trunk up high
under the parcel shelf that holds the rear deck speakers.
Aviod the speaker magnets and OEM wiring.
Make the accessable needed ports so they show
just under the trunk lid sealing pinch weld with the trunk
open. Open trunk and its all accessable. Or glove
box (too small)?
