They obviously did not know you were a member of this forums and did not know that we took care of our own here...what a gimmick....

I've heard thru a friend thats done it, it only helps with the pressure loss. Nothing else. My tires/rims were mounted up by Tirerack. Not sure if they used nitrogen but it's been 6 months now and every time I check them they're right at 40psi on my digi tire gauge. very impressive...

I think I'll just stick to spending 5 minutes refilling as needed every week, since I'm out there doing other stuff anyways....

My wife got the tires for her Acura at Costco and they put the nitrogen in there for freeIf you need to add air you need to go back to Costco for it otherwise it will contaminate the tire and the benefit of nitrogin will be lost....that sounds like fun, when I need air I will fight all the jackasses at costco to get some nitrogen...no thanks.

The funny thing is my wife droped me off at the ford dealership a few months back and when I came out the five salesmen looking like salesmen, coffee in one hand heater in the other were have a high level debate on why the valve stem caps were green. One guy said he thought it was a pressure sensor that turned red when the tire was low...and you wonder why they give the profession a bad name.
