Beltronics and Passport is all I would use. The more you pay the better they are and in radar detectors you get what you paid for.

Yes, Cobras are fine and are probably the most bang for your buck. Mine is a cheapo (value) from Walley's and has all the bells and whistles as well as accident alert.

Please guys these things are a waste of your hard earned money. Your money could be well spent on other mods to your mustangs. I am an officer and they are easily defeated, I mean really easy. Your more apt to get cited if your stopped with a one of these units visible in the car. A lost cause in my book, with all due respect. Drive smart(read btw the lines) and safe. Just a thought...FYI

Notice this was his first post. I wouldn't have expect anything less from him. I don't speed, I just like the recreation of knowing where they are.

I have an escort passport 9500 with the gps. It tells me how fast I'm going LOL! Seriously, it's pretty cool. I don't really drive any differently than I did before but it lets me know when there are police units around me which I think is really valuable. Now I know where they sit in the areas around where I work and can adjust my speed accordingly. The other day it went off and a policeman on a motorcycle was speeding up the shoulder of the highway at about 80mph. I was glad that I knew he was there.

I can't really say that it has saved my butt but it really gives me piece of mind knowing when there are units around. And it's funny but I get hit a lot with instant on. It's given me a sense of how the cops use this to hit you and find out your speed quickly then follow you hiding in traffic waiting to spring on you.

I'm glad I have mine.

They work and they dont work. If your going to speed either way, GET ONE! Where i live, in a 20 min drive you can go through evesham police, medford police, medford lakes, state troopers, and one more...cant think of the town, o well. my rd works for all them minus medford lakes, they keep theirs off till you go by and then theytag you...

however, they work great on the EXPRESSWAY.

I have a passport s2 wireless...

so far i can say its saved me atleast 10 times where i was gong atleast 10 over and i was able to slow down in time.

I have a Valentine 1 myself and am very happy with it. Like an above poster, I don't speed but I am nosey.

To the Officers that say it won't save you, I disagree. At least for me, being in a city environment, I catch the reflections of Officers lighting up other cars around me (ahead, behind, etc.) all the time.
