Importing 2005 Mustang
Since the 2005 mustang came out i have been obsessing about getting one. I just got back from a skiing trip in canada and stopped by a ford show room for a test drive. WOW is all i can say.
Luckily i have an uncle who runs a shipping company in Toronto and ships cars quite often so hopefully i will have one soon (I live in the UK and ford have not mentioned any chance of bringing it over here)
Ive got some questions for those of you with an 05 Mustang :
- Are there any known problems i should look out for ?
- How different is this "new" engine compared to the 4.6litres of the past?
Any other tips and information you can give me will be much appreciated

RE: Importing 2005 Mustang
there's just a bunch of piddly things wrong with it. the audio system #1. just look in the forum, casper posted quite a few things he's had to fix on them. the motor in these is a 3v v8 instead of the old 2v v8. it certainly responds better to bolt-ons than previous 4.6s. [:'(][:'(][:'(]

RE: Importing 2005 Mustang
I just love the car so im going to have too
My grand father had a 67 mustang when he was stationed in the states (RAF), it just looks so similiar to the old style!!
I have come across only two problems so far :
1. Speedo only in KPH (Canadian Version). UK regulations mean they have to show MPH. Do the cars sold in USA have MPH? If so hopefully i can just pickup a new speedometer face.
2. Canadian cars limited to 100MPH. Although driving above 100MPH is not a good idea, i still manage it in my 1.6 GOLF MK1V, so i would like to be able to do it in my 4.6L V8 BEAST!
(Any idea how easy this is to fix?)
