They come with drip pans that can be screwed on from underneath to stop most the water, but when they fill up where does the water go? They are not sealed.

I cant confirm 100% but I saw someone post about the heat extractors having some kind of cover that pops in and out covering up the vents

is there anything to stop water from pouring into engine compartment with the heat extractor hood?

There are drip pans, but if you cover the extractors what's the point of having them? A little water isn't going to hurt your engine; do you wash under your hood? Most people do, with a garden hose or pressure washer.
As for the OP; either hood is great. Buy what you like, not what other people tell you looks better.

You should get Va. Stang to chime in....[sm=badbadbad.gif]
Well, here we go. I ordered the TF hood because I liked it better. And it still had the heat extractors. The finish was good very, just A few waves and just a coupleof pin holes in the gel-coat. Overall a nice finish plus finished on the underside. Andthe ram air which is close to being centered over the air box.But it would need a warrantyIcould not get.
The Cervini hood is nice also but when I ordered the TF hoodCervini did not have it with the heat extractors. BUT, they found me one and a few more that a vendor still had in stock so I bought the Type IV with heat extractors. It will be here sometime today. I will test fit at home then take itthe bodyshop this week. Pics coming soon. Can't really comment on the fit and finish yet! But in few hours.........
Can't wait to see it! I hope this time everything works out good for you. I am still trying to work on what we talked about.

the cervini's one is nice, but i still am partial to the TF. the problem with that and every other cervini's picture is that it always has the elanor kit on it, so you cant get a feel for the car without the $25k kit.
