Yea, everybody knows Fords are the only car that ever has a problem. If I were you, I'd get rid of your Mustang and get a Kobalt - today!

 

Wow, sorry to hear about your bad luck. I have not had one problem with mine. But let me tell you from my experience, it can happen to any car from any manufacturer. As some of you know, I am a service advisor for Toyota, and I have also worked for Ford, Chrysler and Nissan. And I have seen cars come in with 15 different things wrong at once. I am sure once you get these feew things fixed, you will be fine. Good luck, and let us know what happened.

Hope you get it solved, but keep in mind, just cause there is a Ford emblem on the car, don't blame all or assume all Fords have problems. I have owned more Fords than anything else and will say they are great cars. We had a 1979 F-100 that had over 290,000 miles on it and never had any major problems with it. I sold it last year. I sold a 1982 Mustang GT with 94,000 miles in pristine condition......never had ANY mechanical work done to it, other done regular maintenance. You can buy a lemon in any brand. You can also screw up what you have by modding it.

 

What I find amazing is how people toss on CAI's and flash tunes, and then when the car won't start its Ford's fault! Or they open up the dash in order to upgrade their sound system and wind up busting the AC/ heat control switch and blame Ford when it won't work. Or they lower and stiffen the suspension and then moan that they hear rattles. Do some of the cars have problems? No doubt. Is this an exclusive Ford problem? No. They all make a bad one now and then. "Those who live by the bolt on, die by the bolt on"!

 

Don't know where everyone is going for warranty work but I have all kinds of mods didn't remove one and they did warranty for something that was obviously effected by the mods. No questions no hassle just great service with a smile.

Isnt there some sort of "lemon law" if you have a certian amount of problems your insurance can help you get a new one? -Jon

 

its always typical of any new car design to have some bugs to work out the first few years. i bought the extended warrany just for that reason. thats the price you gotta pay to be the first owners of any new design. they will get better.

2006 Mustang has 11. 2006 Honda Accord, their flagship sedan, has 11. It sucks you're having problems, but the truth is there that the Mustang is actually a pretty well built machine.
