Default MGW Short Throw Thread/**** Option

Hi guys, ladies.

I'm thinking about asking for the MGW short throw for Christmas, and have a question about the thread options. I'm leaning toward the 12mm (OEM) thread and just putting my stock shift **** back on, but part of me likes the idea of the having the option of different *****, which would mean the 3/8-16 standard thread.

So, my question is: Are there any really good aftermarket ***** that would a) look good in my interior (the black/tan CS two-tone) and b) go well with the MGW short throw? Good enough to warrant getting the standard thread? Pics and/or links would be GREATLY appreciated!!!

Or should I just stick with the 12mm OEM and stock ****? Are there many aftermarket ***** that fit the 12mm thread?

Thanks everyone!

Cheers!

There are literally thousands of shifter **** options out there. I change mine about every 6 months (don't know why, maybe trying to find one I absolutely love). This is the latest one. A rattlesnake rattle [8D]

haha - yeah, I know there's thousands of them...I guess I should have been more specific!

I'm hoping that I get enough recommendations from fellow Stang owners that one or two of them really jump out at me and scream, "Get the [whatever] thread, so you can get me!"

I have the Hurst shifter with the 3/8-16 thread, so it lets me play with the different ***** out there. My favorite to date was the white Hurst ball that came with it. If you go with the the 3/8-16, you'll have lots more choices. Of course, if you really like the factory handle, just stick with it! Here'sone that a lot of people like:

Personally, I prefer the stock OEM threads, with the MGW Gripper Ball.....Perfect compliment to the MGW shifter, and you can always swap to stock shift **** if desired.....

I've thought of that one. So it has a nice feel to it? Do you have the chrome or silver finish?

I bought this one (black pony ball). It should be here in two days.

The 05-08 ones are backordered, but since my Steeda Tri-ax shifter came threaded for theother model Mustang, I was able to order the one for the 79-04 Mustang. I hope it works.
