If I am not wrong you can use a bottle of water with a drop of dish soap in it

BSM calls for a water with just a touch of dish liquid and a couple of cap fulls of rubbing alcohol mixture. BTW make sure your car is thoroughly washed and the areas to be striped have been wiped with alcohol to get anything that might get trapped under the vinyl.

good thread.. *BOOKMARKED*

do they give you the wetting solution?
No, but they give you the recipe.....I believe it's 16 oz. of water, a teaspoon of alcohol, and a couple of drops of dishwashing soap...It's on their site.......

Get the blue automotive masking tape, as it doesn't seep(like regular masking tape) and comes off very easily. Use a grease pencil to make your markings when measuring. Ford uses a 1" gap with their stripes, I have a 2" gap on my car(10" wide stripes) as it suits my eyes better.

Yes, any auto retailer will have the 3M blue tape. The gap is 1" throughout, the stripes should be seperated by that 1" from front to back.
