Right window "auto" does not work...
I took my Mustang in last week for it's first oil change and afterward (later in the day) I noticed that the passenger window "auto" setting does not work. I have to hold the switch at either detent to roll the window up or down, regardless of whether it's from the driver or passenger side switch. Also, when the window rolls all the way down there's a slight "thunk" sound when it stops. I'm planning on calling up the dealer to have them fix it but I was just wondering if there might just be a quick and easy fix I could do. All but one time I've taken the car in something has gone wrong with the car afterwards. Luckily it's just little things like this or the dash lights not lighting up and not a blown motor or something that's a real pain in the butt. Anyways, thanks for any help!
The same thing happened to a friend of mine and within the next few weeks his battery died on him. Got it replaced at the dealer because it had a bad cell
Check the owners manual - I seem to recall a thread about the auto window settings and some sort of "reset" process. I might be mistaken, so check the manual - don't have mine handy - wife has the car tonight...

roll the window all the way up and hold the button in the up position for 5 seconds and it will reset the window. The problem happens when the auto sensor inside the door that tells when the window is up or down to stop the motor is off so you need to reset the sensor to know when the window is all the way up before it will re-activate the auto mode.
Hope this helps,

Yea, thanks guys...resetting it worked. It still makes the clunking sound when it stops rolling all the way down but functionally, it works.
