I put 100,000 miles on my 70 Cougar since 2000...
And I do this on a classic car!
Worse case scenario, I'll build it again. Can't take it with me when I'm dead, can I ?

Congrats!! Now THAT'S what a car is for! I drove over 676,000 miles on my 70 Chevelle I bought new in 1970 and loved every minute of it. I've put over 41,000 miles on my '06 GT since I purchased it in March of 2006 and plan on driving it as long as I can. The worse thing you can do to a car is NOT drive it and just let it sit. All of my driving is high speed highway, so the car gets its "exercise" everyday! As the poster said, if you're going to spend that much time in a car every day, it may as well be in a GT. If I wanted to keep the car in my garage, I would have bought a scale model. If it has wheels, drive it!

Wow! I thought I was a road warrior with 65k miles in 18 months. Thanks man. Now when my wife gives me grief for putting on so many miles and depreciating the value of my car I can tell her, "hey, at least I'm not that guy with 100k miles!"
I haven't had any problems yet, except for the clutch pack and a fuel pump (both TBS repairs). WOT still makes me smile. Good luck on your race for another 100 miles!
