the cloth seats rip as well. it isn't just leather. The heavier you are, the sooner it will wear and rip. simple truth.

What you are pointing to is the plastic part not the leather.

Nope, it's the leather area, the seam is still to the left(to the right looking at the pic), where the side airbag deploys(that's the vinyl area). The peel is only a few mm, the bolster is a good 4 1/2 inches wide.

Isn't what you are pointing to the smooth part??? The only leather is the stuff with the perforations in it in the center section of the seat.

????? The center section(perforated area) and the side bolsters, lumbar support & the upper back section are made of leather. The seat sides, back, headrest and entire rear seat is vinyl.
Can't you feel the difference in the material? There's a distinctive grain to each and it's apparent to the touch.
