Sorry to break it to you,but the headlight housings look best just the way they are. I've seen them painted, and they look like ***, IMO, never mind the resealing problems you are likely to have by messing with them.

its good to be a trained professional. no fear to make custom mods. you need the lens to keep the bulb dry or it will break when it gets rained on when the lights are on. temp change shock.

because then the bulbs are in direct contact to dirt and other crap

a good way to burn out the bulbs or even start a small fire

Here's one post I found a while back on how to paint the headlight buckets: go to www.mustangforums.com/m_3654751/tm.htm and scroll down to scheetz's post (post #14) of the thread. They are sealed back up when the painting is done.

I had contacted CDC about making open headlight buckets and they said they would let me know if they go into production, they said they are getting a lot of demand for them!

finished painting headlights yesterday. just put the pieces together for a pic. ill let the paint cure for about a week then ill seal them up permanantly.
