anybody attemted to disassemble the headlight assembly to paint the black areainside to match the body color? problems? tips?

would be intersting but then wouldnt you possibly run into a problem with it not sealing up properly, then getting moister inside

im thinking the clear lens could be reinstalled and sealed with silicone.

I think CDC makes this, except there is no plastic front cover.

So you could just buy a pair of those, then just add the cover from your originals.

Whatever seems easier/more cost efficient to you.

You would think that they would be available from an aftermarket source....its been 3 years since the car came out!!!
