window movement when opening door
I know this sounds like a paranoid mustang owner but call it what you will. I noticed on my recently purchased 05 GT that when opening the door the window rolls down slightly thenrolls back up and seals upon the door closing. The total movement in either direction is approx. 0.250 - 0.500". This is a really great concept, however Iam interested in knowing if there have been any problems with this function in the winter months when ice freezes the doors/windows in place. Does anyone know if the motors have an autoreset feature to protect the circuit from popping a fuse when lost motion in the motor is detectedupon being commanded to move due to the door attempting to be opened? Thank you for your response in advance however petty this may sound.

There is an overcurrent limiter which disconnects power when the window is blocked.
However, if the window is that stuck then wanging the door open could be a whole different problem anyway[&:]

Hmmm, no TSB on it and they have been around since 05 model year?

The windows are supposed to do it. They do it to get a better seal but to make it easier to open the door.

I havent heard of any I wondered the samething but I figure ford accounted for this in some way or another. If they dont well I dont want the same reoccuring problem but the warrenty should take care of it or they will have a recall
