Lowering spindles
The welds do not look good on those. I don't know if I would trust a major load bearing component with welds that look like those. Not that it matters as they are discontinued.
The idea of dropped spindles is good though. It's a good way to lower a car without having to mess with springs or alignment issues as all the geometery remains exactly the same.

Those welds look like some penetrators for sure.
Lots of heat and penetration. I would trust them.
