experience with Nitto NT 555s
I'm running them in the same setup as you are looking at 275/40 & 245/45 Overall, I think they are a great tire for the money. At the track, i've found the best pressure for me is about 18psi. The hook decent, but they are no MT by any means. My best 60ft has been 2.01 on these. Since going FI, they spin----bad out the hole--the same for nitrous. Like I said tho--overall they are a great tires, and I will buy them again.

FI = Forced Induction (.. in this case)

did a quick Google search to find a full list of the 555 sizes:

It almost seems like you need to figure out what TIRES you want (or can afford) and then decide on wheels! I took a look today at the 18" Shelby GT black bullitts and the price was too high.
So I'm just getting a set of take off 17's with the Pirellis and having them painted glossy black!
The 555's were a slightly more expensive option but since they don't have them in a 55 series, I'd rather save the extra cash and stick with what I feel is going to give me a better ride. Just too many potholes here in L.A. for my daily driver.
