Default RE: Remote start bypass help

If you do the push button start. Just do what I did and wrap the two clutch wires together, then it will bypass the clutch for you.

I turn the key to run and depress the clutch and presto, the engine starts.
(hooked the start terminal up hot with ACC).
The PCM known when the engine is running and wont engage the starter
when the clutch is depressed again to shift....
Clutch for a start button..

why do you want the car to start when you push the clutch? Now you have to hope the other safety interlocks work to keep your car from overcranking and who knows what else has been bypassed?

I don't think we need anymore creative ways to bypass clutches since there really isn't any use. There is a correct way to do all of this and equipment made to do it. You have no idea if bypassing this has left something else vulnerable that could somehow cause a problem later. How can you be sure that when the ford tech has your car up on the lift and troubleshooting a problem that could be related that he doesn't understand that the car will not somehow lurch forward and cause damage or death? Let me guess you will put the parking break on right?
