Default Removing seats w/ side airbags?

Can it be done without the airbag deploying in my face? I need to clean out my car completely and I know I must have stupid stuff under there somewhere...

just remove negative battery cable. Then youb can unplug the seat.
It is not rocket science

Don't even have to remove the battery cable. Use unplug the yellow wire harness under the seat.

Your going to remove your seats to clean under them? Damn, dude. That's what I call a thorough cleaning. Maybe you can clean mine when you done!

You really should disconnect the battery. While in the act of prying open that connector, should the airbag deploy... even though there's a small likelihood it could go off, if it did deploy, 1) it is expensive to replace, 2) it could kill you if your face is in it when it goes.

I'd also give it 20 minutes before you start doing the seats, there is a charge in those 'noids that can cause it to activate.

Why? The plug is two wires. There is no power to set off the airbag unless the sensor tells it to. The sensorsare not in the seat for the sit air bags. The wire harness is just like a plug into an outlet in your house. Except it is 12v DC not 110 AC. You cannot cross the wires.
