Default Show vs. Go??

I've had the attitude that if doesn't make my car go faster, I am not interested. I also like sneaking people who mistake my car for stock. Taking a look at some of the beautiful work that has been done to some of the members rides has got me thinking about changing my tune.

Would any "go" people trade some of their mods for more show?

Any "show" folks wishing they bought a S/C instead of a body kit, paint and wheels?

I am at the breaking point (literally) without getting forged internals and am either going to build a ***** out motor or dress my car up with some show goodies?

Thoughts?

Add some show, then build your motor! What are you planning on doing if you do add some "show"? I went with "show" first and only added a catback exhaust, but a polished whipple is about to be under the hood

There is nothing wrong with having both. The 91 GT I had was treated to over 18k in goodies. It turned heads by its looks, and it turned heads by the way it hauled ***. I used it on the track, and then went to cruises/shows. Iwill add morego fast goodies for my next round of mods this spring. You get a good sense of satisfaction with both.

A ***** out motor is cheaper than you think for what you got. Build your block with forged internals. ~$5500 If you pay someone
Show with no go is posing IMHFO

I prefer the show with the go.... Keeps most puppies on the porch where they belong. But if they just have to try ya...then its time to open up a bottle and give that pony a shot....

I don’t understand why people always neglect suspension and a nice brake upgrade, or motor mounts, tranny mounts, short shifter, now sure what gears you have, maybe try the spyder shaft, you can try some weight reduction, I think theres a lot left you can do if you dont want to go for "show" yet. Just because it doesn’t add numbers to your dyno sheet doesn’t mean its not worth doing.

why choose, do both. of course not everyone can do it all at once, but I like mostly go, w/ a little show, just enough to give the hint that the stang is not quite stock.

I've always done mechanical improvements over cosmetic. My car has no warpaint on it, not even a spoiler. Every once in a while though, there's an appearance mod, like those blasted SilverHorse Racing louvers, that make me think about removing two perfectly good windows...
