+1 on having enough money to replace the engine when getting an SC.. I can afford the SC right now but if I through a rod I would probably end up having to sell the car. I really want an SC but I don't think its worth the risk since this is my DD. Plus I'll have to replace the clutch and get better tires and buy tires more often.. then I'm going to want more power in about a month.. upgrade the pulley with a new tune.. it never ends.

I have been wondering thesesame questions, and emailed brenspeed for some answers. I think their paxton setup is the best kit for the price. Its intercooled and comes with their dyno tune. The vortech kit can get more expensive with an intercooler and will not make as much boost. By the way paxton and vortech are made by the same company. Just remember when you go FI, there is a real chance you will be sending a rod through your block, so if you can't afford to be replacing the engine, better not go FI, or at least keep the boost low.

You are all killing me! Now, I dont know what to do, as Iwillbe purchasing a supercharger very verysoon.There are just way to may options, KB,Whipple, Vortec and, and Paxton. Turbo is not an option! I was soldon the Whipple, then thought KB now I'm thinking Vortec/Paxton. I've got to be sure that I'm not too implusive, though Iam.

How does the Vortech sound on the car? Can you tell something is going on? I dont care to adverize what I have but some cars I have heard a whine on and they sound really cool.

the Vortech SQ is fairly quite at idle... if you go WOT u hear it and when u let off there is a big release of boost pressure from the blower.... like a giant flutter!!

Well both.
Centri are said to be more quiet. Can't back that up with my own experience though.
A friend of mine with a Terminator had his Eaton ported out... It's the loudest blower I've heard on a street car.
Souds like a jet in the inside of the car. Wicked[8D].
