Well I cant devulge sources but my cousin works for a car dealership. He got my stang at a deal and then with the family discount it was a great deal. But still i would go with the used one cause they are great. So I would just put the rest in Mods or something else useful

if you buy a new, fully loaded Gt right now, with everything you want, you might get it around invoice. There are tons of deals, especially on the 2007's.

If you buy used you can get a 2005 for around 20-20K but the amount you save means more nicks and scratches, unknown abuse on the car, possible mods, and no new-car-smell!

I bought my 06 used with only 11,000 miles on it, fully loaded (minus the Pony package), plus an extended 77,000 mile warranty for only $16,000. The car was local and had all service records (only about 3 oil changes on it), and I even had the chance to call and talk to the previous owner, who traded it in after a year because she just had a baby. I haven't had any problem with my car besides the gas tank issue, and it runs perfectly, with no scratches and a perfect interior. The car even still had the new car smell. I would definitely buy used if I decided to get another Mustang.

I did but went new because I got my car for $26,000 OTD.
OTD meaning with tax and tags? Invoice on that car is around $30k.If you did (and I'm not doubting you) you got an excellent deal, like me. I know for a fact that my dealer lost $850 on my deal. I know a lot was stacked rebates but I don't care.

There are still some 07 GTs around and can be had at just a little above used car prices, at least in my area.

I've got a good dealer and I was trading in a vehicle that was worth more.

MSRP was $29,300 or so, so invoice couldn't be more than the MSRP. LOL

I don't lease and I don't finance for longer than 3 years. I would much rather buy a 2 yr old car that I really liked than to settle on something new that I could afford.

Bought my '99 GT Vert mint in '03 for $10,000 and got the same when I sold it in '05. (My stangs are my weekend/seasonal car and not daily driver.) Since you are looking at the same body style from '05 to '08, don't be afraid to purchase a used stang, especially from someone who has treated it with extreme care.
