I have really been looking into ordering an 08 but i keep thinking i could save an easy $5,000 or so and just buy an 05-06.

But some things i was worrying about....

How worried should i be about how the motor was broken in?
If swirls have already began to show.... Should i turn away right there?

I guess what im asking is.... Should i just pony up and pay or would it be smarter to go with the 05-06?

well .... theres always excelent stangs out there and u could easily save 5 - 10K that could go as mods !

have you considered a salvaged one? then your saving like 10-15

 

you will lose close to an equal amount if you sell the 05-06. I suggest buying new. Plus you have the warranty and you know where the car has been.

 

i bought mine used....great shape. had the dealer throw it in the CPO program. 2.9% interest on a used car was pretty dang good. not to mention that i was then able to get a 75k mile, bumper-to-bumper warranty

 

New, unless you find a better deal otherwise. Let me just say that I got my 2007 Mustang GT for 20,000 dollars from a private owner with 3,500 miles...

So, if you can find a deal like that, go for it. Only disadvantage was tan interior, but I'm fixing that here real soon.

 

I'm buying slightly used come spring. just look for an 07 with theoptions you want and low mileage. You will save a bundle if you look for the right one.

 

I got really lucky with my V6, got it used for a good price the car was in perfect condition and it felt like a brand new car. It had only 12,000 km on it and had never been in the snow. I couldn't be happier, I saved about 6k as well . I strongly recommend you check out the used stangs first, you might find a great deal.
