Default Wheel flex ??

My night for questions..............

Installed my Front Brembo Gran Turismo brake setup today (well, one side anyway). The wheel clears the caliper by 1-2mm which,on the face of it, appears to be perfect. However, I'm not so sure. I know that steel wheels flex a little, but do cast alloy? I would guess not but..........

I'm a Little worried that a little wheel flex could cause me a lot of problems with the Clearance already so close.

I`m not familiar with the Brembo mounting method but a lot of calipers will actually move a bit when the brakes are applied. I`d recheck my clearances with someone STANDING on the pedal. JMO

Yea, i know what you mean. that happens with "floating" calipers. These are fixed firmly to the leg, all the movement happens within the confines of the cast caliper.

I have the stock brakes. A while back I put on a set of 18" DD bullit wheels from American Muscle. I can't believe how close the caliper is to the spokes, just a couple mm. I was really worried about it, even checked with American Muscle. But in 3 months I have had zero deflection. I guess the cast wheels are pretty stiff.
