Default SS INSERTS in Phoenix

I must let all you Mustang enthusiasts my experience with SS Inserts, I travelled 1800 miles to Phoenix by plane for the holidays to enjoy the summer weather even if it is winter! I went to check some Mustangs I can't find in Canada and saw lots, I saw the Barrett Jackson edition Shelby GT, awesome!! Anyway, I called SS inserts because I found them online and told them I was in from Canada and would like to buy some parts and I would pick em up that way I would save a bundle on Shipping and customs, they told me NO, That the only way he would sell them to me is if I had them shipped, He would not even ship them to my hotel because he only will ship once a week?? RIP OFF!! SS inserts has no customer service and no willingness to help there customers[:@] I could rattle on for days because he really pissed me off but at least I have given him the advertising he truely deserves!

That does sound weird. I wonder if they have a commercial premises or they work from a shop in their yard? Depending on zoning, it's possible they can't run a business which develops traffic/parking issues.

There prices aren't the best on some of the things I was looking at...sucks they wouldn't help you. Maybe they use drop shipping and do not have an actual 'STore'

SS Inserts is a homebased business which is why they will only ship parts to customers. I live in Phoenix and know the area where he is located. True, it is a bit misleading now days when you see someone advertising in the mags and have a good website and think that they have a store front, but you really cant knock someone for having a homebased. I have yet to hear anything bad about his service and my bro-in-law has had nothing but success.

It does seem odd that he wouldnt ship to the hotel, I agree with you there. The only reason I can think of is the problem with credit card fraud. Most times to protect themselves a company will only ship to the billing address.

Theywont get anymore of my business as well. I ordered a billet grille from them. I was told it was the CDC grille and it wasnt. Arrived ok but the bottom grille would not fit. I called to let them know of the issue. I cant remember his name. Allen comes to mind for some reason. He was the rudest person i have spoke with ordering parts for my car. I cant believe the tone this guy had. He actually made a statement that I didnt know what I was doing and should take it to a shop. When I started listing my credentials he kinda back tracked. It's a FREAKING GRILLE A**HOLE!! is what i was thinking. I emailed him some pics so he sent me another grille and I called to let him know I recieved it. He again was rude about it. I will never order from them again. My wife said we are done with that company.
