y online stores were promissing X-mas deliveries. That's the problem with online is you can't see them crossing their fingers when they make that promise!

Some only promised quick delivery if you chose overnight shipping. If you go with basic shipping there's usually I long period of time in which the package could arrive.

I'd say it's still a little early for worrying.
Maybe around Jan 7 you should ask them to ship YOU to Miami to look for it!

well guys speakin as someone who has an understanding of UPS. Just to let you know during the christmas season UPS will see an average 13 million packages being shipped a day. Also I cant speak for UPS directly but, the reason most packages are lost or damaged is because of improper packaging and improper labeling, address, zipcode etc... This can actually be done also by the person shipping the package just one missed number on a zip code can be the difference from being shiped to omaha nebraska to st louis missouri. One of the smartest thing you can do is to always put your duplicate package information on the inside of the package when shipping. This will help you in the event of a labeling problem. And always check to make sure your address is correct, evendown to if its a street, avenue, court, apartment number etc... I know it seems UPS is a big faceless company, but believe me when I say the people who work there do care.

DHL just came to my door with 1/2 my shipment. I ordered 4 new tires and only 2 came. Called the company and DHL left the other 2 tires sitting on the dock (WTF?) Oh well they're overnighting the other 2 so I will have them on the 2nd.

UPS Sucks, I have heard of a new policy, but saw it in action waiting on my new x pipe: I ordered it out of TX and it said it should be to me on the 20th. I tracked it online, went from TX to Chicago on the 14th, and sat there until the morning of the 19th, went to St. Louis and got to me on the 20th. It wasn't late, but could have been hella early! Apparently, they find it somehow economically feasable to sit on a package for a few days and have it arrive on time, as opposed to arriving early.

Thats happened to me before... But, why would you expect a company to deliver something to you before your supposed to get it. If you paid for it thats a different story if its on time to what they say is the arrival date then your good. They arent going to spend any more extra work to deliver a package early because it was paid to be delivered on a set day. They got if figured out just right (for them) and it sucks to track your package and see its in the next county and you have to watch it set there for 2 more days...
