Default X-pipe w/ flowmasters= no good

Ijust bought a catlessmagnaflow x-pipe(thanksdex), but with my flowmasters its just way to f-in raspy. just doesnt sound right at all, cant stand the sound[:@]. i love the loudness but the rest sucks. any advice on what to do? different muffler or have my exhaust guy cut the x out and "H" it? will this cure the bad rasp or is it the mufflers[&o]? I dont mind a little rasp but its just way annoying right now. i appreciate any imput. thanks

i really just want to swap out the xpipe part with a "h" or a pro chamber, are you interested in just the x pipe part?it would go with longtubes.

no cats on the 05-08 = no good IMO. it's not smooth, it trumpets, not deep.

I'm going high-flow cats... shame these cars don't sound like the 99-04s

Exactly, I haven't heard a catless set-up that sounds decent. I have a buddy that was running straight pipes with no cats and it sounded horrible. The SLP LMs sound great as long as you're running cats IMO.

if you dont want raspy then x pipe is completely the wrong way to go....you want an o/r h pipe

So if i had him cut out the "x" it would just be loud and throatier? i dont give a rats *** whether its a "x" or "H" i just cant stand this extreme rasp. any possibility its cause of the chambered flowmasters? would a different muffler w/ resin material make a big difference?

any chance someone would buy just the "x" part?[>:]

its mostly the x pipe....the mufflers have a little to do with it but not as much as the midpipe.....pypes o/r h or the prochamber is the best way to go for deep and throaty
