Default steering question

So i was driving my 05 gt today and i was beginning to notice the radius at which i need to turn the steering wheel to make a turn is getting bigger and bigger. Aren't the gt's supposed to turn on a dime. I am taking it into the ford dealer tomorrow but i dont want to look like an idiot when the tell me there is nothing wrong. are they even going to be able to fix that? its like my moms van takes less to turn than my mustang.

Mustangs have a long wheel base, and have never been known to turn in a short radious. The older fox bodies felt like you were turning a school bus.

As long as the steering wheel will turn from lock to lock and the wheels go with it, I'd say everything is OK. I don't think the Mustang turns poorly, but it also doesn't have the shortest turn radius, either. Of course, the speed you're going will affect your turn radius too...

I have a street that I usually take a u-turn on and it's a regular one lane in each direction street. I have to get way over to the right curb and stop, then crank the wheel and make the u-turn. I get close to the other side of the road's curb. No way I'd try that if I was going faster than 2mph!

This is how Mustangs turn.
