BoomTubes Just Came In...

Default BoomTubes Just Came In...

Gonna Install them tomorrow, any tips, also what tools, and will the sound be instant or does it get louder over time?

I think all of the hanger bracket bolts are 13mm - a ratcheting wrench would be very helpful. The muffler clamps are a larger size - 15mm IIRC. And the sound is instant. If anything, it gets a little smoother over time.

Might also be a good idea to rent a torque wrench if you don't have one, just to make it easier on yourself.

ratcheting box-end wrenches and a set of deep sockets were all i needed. 13 and 15 MM. oh and don't sweat it if they don't slip over the over-axle pipes as far as the stock mufflers, they're not designed to. but you must make extra sure you get a good seal with your clamp position.


+1 to smoothing out over time.

Getting the stock mufflers off is the hardest part. You can't even see several of them with the stock mufflers in place. However, when you hang the boomtubes, you can actually use a ratchet on most of the bolts.

It is a little easier to do with the rear tires removed.

Very easy install, 13mm ratchet wrench will be very helpful. The hardest part is getting them centered.
