Default powder coating stock wheels?

In the last few weeks I have been looking into getting wheels for my car. In my search I couldn't find anything that just "wow'd" me so I started to think about getting my stock bullets powder coated a gloss or flat black and just adding some meaty tires to the rear. My question is have any of you done something similar to this and have pics or maybe heard of someone doing this? Any feedback is welcomed! (one last thing if you were doing this would you leave the polished alum. on the outside of the rim or go ahead and do it all black?) Thanks in advance for your help!

powdercoating is over priced. you could buy a brand new set of rims for a little bit more than powder coating costs

Powdercoating can be expensive unless you know someone ..

Painting can work but it's pretty hard to tape it off perfect. Trust me, I painted mine before I got new wheels and tires. I did it more so to see if I would dig the Black on Black look.

Many people do not recommend powder coating safety critical parts like wheels. I had a great article showing powder coated cast and forged rims that had failed under normal loads. Make sure you discuss thoroughly before you do it.

Just bought a new set of stock Bullitts that were painted glossy black.
Just make sure they have the sense to remove the balance weights BEFORE painting the inside of the rim. GAS didn't! I guess they only know how to PIMP rides.
My outside rim was left stock:
