Default Haynes and Chiltons manuals the same ???

Today I was going to order both the Haynes and Chiltons manuals for the 2005 thru 2007 Mustang. I have found with my old Suburban for example that having both was helpful as there was information found in one and not the other and visa versa.

Anyway I was reading the reviews on Amazon http://www.amazon.com/Ford-Mustang-H.../dp/156392661Xand found this concerning the Haynes manual.

"This book is the same as the Chilton manual Ford Mustang: 2005 through 2007 (Chilton's Total Car Care Repair Manual), the only difference is this one is a bit cheaper, but the contents are EXACTLY the same. I made the mistake of ordering both and now have two copies of the same book."

I would like both manuals if they are different, but of course not if they are the same.

Does anybody know if they really are the same ???

I always thought the Hyanes was better and cheaper[&:].
So now I'm confused.

That's the first I've ever heard of Haynes and Chilton having the exact same content.. is the description from someones review? Maybe they're exaggerating?

And if they are, couldn't you always return one?

In the past, I've always gotten both for the same reason you say...

If they are the same, this is something new. I have always preferred the Chilton series. When I receive the Chilton I'll let you know. That reviewer was not a professional reviewer, for whatever that's worth.

Yes, the manuals in the past for other vehicles have been different and their were benefits to having both.

Hopefully someone can verify what the non-professional reviewer said.
