Default Question about wheels

I know they are the wrong offset the older mustang wheels but i see people using them for our cars.

Is it safe or not?

Default RE: Question about wheels

Yep...hope so at least....it just a difference on how far out the wheel stick....even with wheels made for our year cars the offset differ when you get into wider tires (down to 38and below).....they get closer to the previous gen offset of 24mm....i have had mine of for a month and no problems

Default RE: Question about wheels

Offset. The distance from the centerline of the wheel to the face of the mounting surface of the wheel that contacts the hub.
Zero Offset. Indicates the mounting surface is at the wheel center.
Negative Offset. Indicates the mountingsurface is behind (or inboard) the centerline of the rim. This is often found on standard rear-wheel-drive vehicles and on so-called reversed rims. (Diagram below shows negative offset)
Positive Offset. Indicates the mountingsurface isin front of(or outboard) the centerline of the rim. This is often found on front-wheel-drive vehicles. Stock Tacoma wheels have Positive offset.
Backspacing. The distance from the mounting surface to the insidelip of thewheel. This measurement is closely related to offset (without actually measuring, backspacing is about equal to [Wheel Width / 2] + [Offset] + [about 1/4] ).

Wrong offset and backspacing leads to rims that stick out too much
or rub while turning. Also it can lead to brake caliper interference.
