Do yourself a favor and buy a tuner like the SCT, then you can scan it whenever you want and even clear most codes. Since you're taking it overseas and may not have easy access to a knowlegable service center, consider it a wise investment.

So you want a Ford technician to waste their time to scan your vehicle when there is no problem? It's kind of hard to fix something that's not broken. And than you come on here and bash Ford, technically Ford has nothing to do with this, it's YOUR dealer which is privately owned and opperated. Grow up dude.

I dont think a computer scan would be under warranty since there is nothing wrong, so they can charge you time and use of equipment and you have the choice to pay or not. I would go to a different dealer but if they say the same you can't really do that much about it.
