stock intake CEL HELP!!

Default stock intake CEL HELP!!

okay so i installed my BBK intake 2 days ago without a tune. the check engine light came on so i reinstalled the stock intake to wait for myu tuner to come in. the check engine light, however, is still on even though the stock intake is on. is there away to reset the light? please help!!

Just wait till your tuner comes in. You'll have to use that to reset the CEL. That thing's gonna stay on till it's reset.

I think about the only thing that doesn't leave a CEL lit is an O2 sensor... And on some cars a loose gas cap.

Just disconnect the battery for 2 hours and the light should be reset. It will come back on after a drive cycle or two if there is still a problem.

i tried disconnecting the battery, but in the mustang, when i unscrew the tightening screws that connect the wires to the +/- side of the battery there is no way to pull them off? any help here cause i feel like an idiot not being able to disconnect the battery

All you have to do is take the negative off. You have to loosen the bolt to the post clamp. Then I just put a screwdrive under the clamp and gently loosen it and pull it off.

haha got the battery off and then hooked it up later took it for a drive and no CEL thanks everyone

I had the same problem. Go to your nearest Advance Autoparts or Auto Zone. They can tell you what code it is. I can already tell you its going to be lean. Just have them clear it and you will be fine.
