Supercharger is schedualed in the next 14-15 months, but if cai+tune is giving me 25+ rwhp, id be willing to sacrifice the $600
why don't you install gears? what size tires do you have?
This was another option, but no hp gain

You guys are really motivating. CAI+Tune, here i come.

You're sh!tting me, right? LT's without a cai/tune? Oh boy..

Mustang 101 says "CAI/Tune".. There's a reason for that. I PROMISE YOU, we are not all full of ****. It really WILL make your car feel completely different. I didn't believe it at first either, but once I did it, I kicked myself EVERY DAY for not having done it sooner.

If you're going FI, it may not be a COMPLETE waste of money anyway.. Do you know which brand of FI you're looking at? Start thinking long-term. If you don't ever plan on making over 15 PSI (that's a lot for these motors, you'd need a forged rotating assembly at ~10 PSI anyway), then the Saleen blower will work fine. Get a Steeda CAI and XCAL2 from Brenspeed, and then they'll give you a $385 credit towards one of their "stage" kits. It works out nicely. And Brent and team have STELLAR customer service.

As for the price of gas - that SERIOUSLY isn't a deterrant for you, is it? I mean think about it:

10,000 miles per year @ 15 MPG = 667 gallons of gas
667 gallons of 87 octane @ 3.29 = 2194.43
667 gallons of 93 octane @ 3.52 = 2347.84

Dude, that's only $153.41 PER YEAR for ALL that extra power! Not to mention better gas, which is better for the engine anyway.

Pardon me, but DUH!

Good point. At the moment im liking the kenne bell, (buddy of mine has it on his PJ Saleen) and i love it.

You could probably find a good CAI and tuner in the parts for sale section. I'd start there you save some money which equals another mod in the near future.

you will accelerate faster though . I also asked what size tires you have because if your overall ride height is taller than stock it will affect your gearing in the rear

Does cai+tune really give you 30 rwhp?
well i didnt do a base line "stock" tune but with ba ma 93 oct tune i dyno'd at 291 rwhp and 307rwtq which is pretty close with just a tunnable induction intake, tune (sct ba ma) and ford racing x pipe

if you are worried about the $$$ there is a less expensive solution at VMP and you will have an XCAL 2 or 3

my signature states my feelings
