Supercharger is schedualed in the next 14-15 months, but if cai+tune is giving me 25+ rwhp, id be willing to sacrifice the $600

You're sh!tting me, right? LT's without a cai/tune? Oh boy..
Mustang 101 says "CAI/Tune".. There's a reason for that. I PROMISE YOU, we are not all full of ****. It really WILL make your car feel completely different. I didn't believe it at first either, but once I did it, I kicked myself EVERY DAY for not having done it sooner.
If you're going FI, it may not be a COMPLETE waste of money anyway.. Do you know which brand of FI you're looking at? Start thinking long-term. If you don't ever plan on making over 15 PSI (that's a lot for these motors, you'd need a forged rotating assembly at ~10 PSI anyway), then the Saleen blower will work fine. Get a Steeda CAI and XCAL2 from Brenspeed, and then they'll give you a $385 credit towards one of their "stage" kits. It works out nicely. And Brent and team have STELLAR customer service.
As for the price of gas - that SERIOUSLY isn't a deterrant for you, is it? I mean think about it:
10,000 miles per year @ 15 MPG = 667 gallons of gas
667 gallons of 87 octane @ 3.29 = 2194.43
667 gallons of 93 octane @ 3.52 = 2347.84
Dude, that's only $153.41 PER YEAR for ALL that extra power! Not to mention better gas, which is better for the engine anyway.
Pardon me, but DUH!
