For those of you that thought a Shelby GT500 front conversion is as simple as swapping out the front bumper,you are sorely mistaken! [8D] I ordered the entire front end kit from my local dealer (nice discount)... picked up today and I was amazed with how many components go into the front end alone. This doesn't even include the hood or rear fascia!! I will update everyone with my progress. First step... paint !

i love the looks of the gt500 but dont want to seem like im posing like i have one. i would do the front end conversion on mine but i personally would use a differentrear fascia or something.

 

does it honestly really matter if his car looks like a gt500? who cares the gt500 body kit looks good.

 

how much of a discount did you get? what was the total cost for all of it?

 

It's not as complex as you think Larmo. It goes very easily. Took me about 45 minutes all by myself and I had no idea what I was doing either.

 

That GT 500 front facia kit is an awesome upgrade for any s-197. I went with the CS front kit and some folks don't even notice the change. I'm happy anyways.
