Default Tires

on my newly purchased 08, the tire size is as follows: P215/65R16

i'm into wider tires with shorter sidewall, not too short though. where do those fit in?

225 or 235 for wider. Aspect ratio for a shorter sidewall, but not too short of 40-55

Thats an odd tire size. Is that what ford puts on Canadian GT's?

The GT's get 235's on the 17" and the 18" rims up here.

Don't know if you car is lowered but be advised, if you put a shorter sidewall on 16" rims, unlowered, you are going to have some big gaps between the tire and the fender, kind of a 4X4 look.

To get the lower profile, you will need to go to a larger rim.

If you change the tire size to 225/60 on the same 16" rim, The tire diameter is still the same. The look will be the same except it would be slightly wider. And as someone else said, to drop down to a lower profile, of say 50, you would need a 245 (to keep the same diameter). That wont fit too well on the stock rim. Might look kinda stupid.

[sm=icon_rofl.gif]Or just do whatSOME peoplefrom south of the border do. Put some rubber bands on the stock rims, and call it good.[sm=icon_rofl.gif]
