DTE ODO DATA ERR... SCT Xcal2 issues
Hello Everyone,
Here's what happen. I have a '05 GT with a tuneable induction intake and Xcal2 tune. I've been running this for about 2 years now. I accidently left my radar detector plugged in and my battery died. I jump started it and drove around for a few days but the car still started really weak. So I decided to get a new battery.I install the new battery butmy odometer reads "------" and after the car goes through the system checks,it says "DTE ODO DATA ERR". The car won't start. I plug in the Xcal2 and scroll through to change the tune back to stock but when I turn the key to "ON" to start the process, the Xcal2 turns off and goes blank.
From what I've searched, it seems that any PCM or tune problems that people run into seem to get fixed through the tuner company or by resetting their cars back to stock at the dealership. My problem is that the dealership says they can't connect to my PCM and that I need a new one ($687) and SCT won't answer their phone or return my emails. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions before I have to buy a new PCM. Any information or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

The OBD port has power, it's just that Ford saystheir laptopwon't communicate with the PCM. My tuner also powers up but when it says to turn the key to the "ON" position to start the load, the tuner blanks out. SCT still won't answer my calls or emails. I think I may have to start looking into a replacement PCM.

That is if I don't break it for causing all these problems to begin with. I don't even need a radar detector when I'm going 5mph in LA traffic. Thanks for the advice though.
