Under the Hood Diagram
Hey y'all:
Complete mustang mod noob here. Just got my C&L CAI from Brenspeed, but looking at the directions, I'm kind of lost as to how to start switching this in and out.
I've been trying to find a diagram of what's under the hood so that I know what the instructions are talking about. Can anyone help me out with that? Thanks for helping the n00b!

RE: Under the Hood Diagram
okay here ya go
1. loosen that strap until the thing can slide off
2. unplug that
3. unplug that
4. unscrew that
once you do all of this the whole intake should come out. that is (in noob terms) that black tube in the middle, and the black box on the right. then the new intake should fit similar to how the stock one should. also you might have to screw the new one in where number 4 is and also under the plastic thing in the frint of the engine. to get under there just use a screw driver to pry open the things holding it down(i think there is 6 of them)

Your diagram freaking rocks. It was much helpful.
It only took this no00b 3 hours to change his CAI. (ok, 45 minutes of that time was spent getting socket wrenches, but nonetheless) Thanks!

It took me 40 minutes alone to figure out where i plug the tuner in (I thought it was under the hood into the CPU)...Yes, I felt VERY stupid when I finally figured out where it was UNDER THE DASH... :P~~~~
So, adventures with a mustang nooob.
Was fun getting to take her out afterwards though and not see a "check engine" light come on. Oh, and the higher revs were awesome as well. haha
