Learn to drive in a lower gear. The car responds and sounds so much better then anyway.

Although.....I have been wondering if there is anything one can do to a muffler to decrease the drone.

For instance, I wonder what effect the following would have on the exhaust note and drone range.
Get a thick strip of rubber and a strip of heat resistant fabric and wrap them around the "can" of the muffler (bullet style muffler like Borla stingers) and tighten with a hose clamp.

Dynamat would probably help a little. The best way would probably be too add some resonators. But you might not like the sound then. I hated the drone when I first added just the stinger axlebacks on my vert. I later added an o/r h. The offroadh actually cuts down the drone a bit.

The drone is pretty much going to stay unless you do resonators and that'll help. I've heard you can put foam in the spare tire well and that helps. I've never tried it and can't confirm it at all but it seems like something cheap to try.

Trying using a traditional U shaped exhaust clamp. I put a second clamp on mine above the first. It reduced the drone a lot. I got the idea from another member. It worked for me and it was cheap. If it doesn't work for you, then you're out about $5.

Keep reading in the thread. Another member couldn't use the original clamps and had to use a U Clamp. His drone was reduced, too.

Man, I got Steeda, and you're right. For the first 3 months I had them it killed me. But I don't notice it at all anymore! Don't worry about it you'll get use to it and it won't bother you anymore. I promise..
