We are not jumping down yourthroat and we are not trying to tell you how to mod your car. We are merely offering advise, albeit possibly in a negative light. With that said, going from 45mm to 0mm is almost a 2" difference. There have been numerous posters me having wheels with just a 24mm offset and a wider tire and how much they stick out from the fender lip. Granted you are not putting a 275 or 285 wide tire on a 8" wide rim but the 45mm change will definately put you beyond the lip of the fender.

But, hey if you tried it and it looks good to you, I hope it works out and if you choose to post pics to prove us wrong, yay for us.

That offset is not a safe application for your s-197.Putting pressure on one side or the other of the wheel bearings could lead to premature failure of the bearing. That said you have four wheel bearings and causing a bearing to rupture or collaspe. Its your safety I'm concerned about.

They do, but they don't look anything like the old school Cragers. The spokes just aren't right. Too flat, I think.
