Yeah, I'm waiting on my Cervini's Duck Tail to get here and then I'm gonna paint it, my mirrors and the trim all at once. I know several people on here have painted theirs. I just don't want to start trying to pull parts off and break something.

Comes off pretty easy. Pull off the rubber seal, carefull with the plastic clips. The plastic trim is held on with screws under that.

i just did mine last month. its a nice mod in addition i also did the piece across the top of the door. it actually makes the window look about two inches shorter and more proportioned to the the car. the screws holding it on mine were torx, not remimbering what size.make sure you apply a bead of silicone to the backside of the trim when you reinstall it. ford used a strip of foam there but i used silicone to weather proof the trim so no moisture could run into the interior behind the trim. heres a before and after pic.
